Terms & Conditions — Video Consultation

1. Purpose and price
These terms govern the sale of 30-minute video consultations with a building expert (the « Consultation »), provided by Cassini Expertise (SIREN 108 353 616, RCS Antibes, France). Price: €45 per consultation. By booking, you fully accept these terms.
2. Payment
Payment is made by credit/debit card at the time of booking, via a secure Stripe checkout page. The Consultation is only confirmed after full payment. An invoice is issued after the Consultation.
3. Mandatory connection test before booking
As the Consultation takes place via video conference, you must ensure beforehand that your internet connection, camera and microphone are working properly. A free test tool is available: Test my connection now. Running this test before booking is strongly recommended.
4. Refund policy
4.1 When a refund is granted
- Cancellation by the Client: full refund if cancelled at least 24 hours before the confirmed slot, directly from the confirmation email.
- Cancellation by Cassini Expertise: full refund or free rescheduling, at the Client’s discretion.
- Technical failure attributable to the service (video unavailable, expert unreachable, platform outage): full refund or free rescheduling.
4.2 When NO refund is issued
- Poor, unstable or insufficient internet connection on the Client’s side (low bandwidth, disconnections, excessive latency)
- Defective or misconfigured camera or microphone on the Client’s side
- Incompatible software or browser on the Client’s side
- Cancellation less than 24 hours before the confirmed slot
- No-show (failure to connect within 15 minutes of the confirmed time, without notice)
Important reminder: The Consultation is deemed due as soon as the expert has connected at the agreed time and the technical failure originates from the Client’s side. The Client acknowledges having been informed of the obligation to test their connection before booking (section 3).
5. Rescheduling
The Client may reschedule free of charge up to 24 hours before the confirmed slot, directly from the link in the confirmation email. Within 24 hours, the Consultation is due in full.
6. Nature of the service
The Consultation is an initial technical orientation discussion. It does not constitute a judicial or amiable expert assessment, and does not replace an on-site inspection when one is required. The expert may, after the consultation, propose a formal expert assessment with a separate quote.
7. Documents and confidentiality
Documents submitted via the dedicated form are treated confidentially, used solely for the Consultation, and deleted upon request. Documents sent by email are not accepted — please use the secure form only.
8. Personal data (GDPR)
Data provided (name, email, phone, documents) is processed solely for managing the Consultation and any subsequent business relationship, in accordance with GDPR. Hosting: France / European Union. Rights of access, rectification and deletion: contact@cassini-expertise.fr.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by French law. In accordance with Blog L612-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, the Client may use a consumer mediator in the event of a dispute.
